What we collect

This website has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. The only personal data we collect is what you type into the contact form, together with a small amount of technical context needed to keep the form usable:

• your name and e-mail address, and your company name if you fill it in;
• the content of your message;
• the language version of the site you used;
• the IP address the message was sent from, and the moment you agreed to this policy;
• an automated score that estimates whether the message is unsolicited bulk mail.

Why we collect it

To read your message and answer it, and to keep a record of what was agreed during the conversation that follows. The legal basis is your consent, given when you tick the box on the contact form, and our legitimate interest in defending ourselves against automated abuse of the form.

How long we keep it

Messages that do not lead to an assignment are deleted no later than twenty-four months after our last contact. Messages that do lead to an assignment are kept for as long as the working relationship lasts, and afterwards only for as long as accounting and liability rules require. Messages scored as automated bulk are deleted within three months.

Who else sees it

Nobody outside Funtology. We do not sell, rent or share contact data. The site and its database run on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany, which processes the data only as our hosting provider, inside the European Union.

Cookies

One cookie, set by this site, holds the session needed to protect the contact form against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal data, it is not used to follow you, and it expires on its own. There are no third-party cookies.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you can ask us to:

• tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your data;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• hand your data to you or to someone else in a portable format;
• withdraw consent you gave earlier, without that affecting what was lawful before.
